Entertainers announced for annual fair

The 38th annual Arts in the Park, northwest Montana's largest and longest-running art and entertainment fair will be staged July 21-23 in Kalispell's Depot Park.

Visitors of all ages will enjoy browsing jewelry, clothing, photography, paintings, pottery, glass and other arts and crafts created by more than 100 artists from 12 states and Canada. A variety of food vendors and entertainers round out the fair.

For children, there will be face painting and an assortment of hands-on art activities all weekend. On Friday and Saturday, the show runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Arts in the Park is a benefit for the Hockaday Museum of Art; all proceeds support the museum's exhibit and education programs. Admission is $4 for an advance weekend pass purchased by July 20 or $5 on the opening day of the festival. Daily admission is $3 and free for those under 12. Weekend passes, which also include free admission to the Hockaday Museum for the weekend, are available at CM Anderson Design, Herberger's, Hockaday Museum of Art, Imagination Station (Kalispell & Whitefish locations), Paint, Metal & Mud, and Wakefield's Beauty Connection (in Kal-ispell Center Mall).

Friday, July 21

10 to 11 a.m. - Highlanders (Scottish bag pipes)

11 a.m. to noon - Greg Grant (classical guitar)

Noon to 1 p.m. - Two Medicine Lake Drummers (Blackfeet drummers and dancers)

2 to 3 p.m. - String Crossings String Trio (blend of light classical to Irish jakes)

3 to 5 p.m. - Blue Onion (blues with a bite)

Saturday, July 22

11 a.m. to noon - Stacey Board (classical singer/guitar from Salt Lake City, Utah)

Noon to 1 p.m. - Feat x Feet (professional tap performance)

1 to 1:30 p.m.- Greg Grant (classical guitar)

1:30 to 2 p.m. - Flatheaders Square Dance Club

2 to 4 p.m. - Cocinando (Latin music)

4 to 4:30 pm - Western Line Dancers

4:30 to 5 p.m. - Country Cloggers

Sunday, July 23

10 to 11 a.m. - Steve Eckels (classical guitar)

11 a.m. to noon - Tra Le Gael (Celtic winds ensemble)

Noon to 1 p.m. - Greg Grant (classical guitar)

1 to 2 p.m. - Blue Smoke (country music)

2 to 3 p.m. - Left Over Biscuits (bluegrass band)

3 to 4 p.m. - Valley Voices Community Choir
