Marvin Landon, 75

Marvin Landon passed away July 11, 2006, at age 75 at Life Care Center in Kennewick, Wash.

Marvin resided 30 years with his wife, Gladys, in Wenatchee, Wash., then spent his retirement — 10 years — in Irrigon, Ore.

He grew to manhood in Kalispell before moving to the Wenatchee area. He worked in the logging industry for approximately 20 years here.

He attended the Salvation Army in Wenatchee for many years, was involved in community service as well as the church. He was a member of Wenatchee Elks Lodge. He attended the S.D.A. Church in Leavenworth, Wash., Cashmere, Wash., and in Irrigon.

Marvin loved golfing with friends, traveling and family reunions each year. He will be missed this year.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys, of 51 years; four children, Marvin 'Buzz' Landon Jr. of Irrigon, Anita Moser of Wenatchee, Laura Hightower of Pasco, Wash., and Karey Ann Gasser of Columbia Falls; sisters, Nadine Christie and Grace Watters, both of Kalispell; brothers, Frank Landon of Newberg, Ore., James Landon of Burns, Ore., and Don Landon of Kalispell; three grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carol and Merle Landon; sisters, Alice Pollard and Sylvia Gleason; and brother, John Roy Landon.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 14, at Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Kennewick, and a memorial service will follow at noon at the Kennewick Seventh-day Adventist Church, 7105 W. 10th Ave., in Kennewick.
