Lakers face Mariners in Harp tournament championship game

Mission Valley faces Kalispell at Griffin Field today in the championship game of the Class A John R. Harp American Legion baseball tournament.
Today's championship round begins with two 9 a.m. games: No. 4 seeds Glasgow and Everett, Wash., and No. 3 seeds Kootenai Valley and Anaconda.
Great Falls meets Southern Alberta in the consolation game at 3 p.m., followed by the championship game between the Mariners and Lakers at 5:30.

Mission Valley pitcher Tyler Trudeau enjoyed plenty of run support, earning the win to improve to 6-3 as the Mariners beat the Black Sox. Cody Neil was the losing pitcher.
Jake Bosley led Mission Valley on offense, going 3-for-4 while Eric Locke, Brandon Thompson, Trudeau and Will Gordon each had two hits. Thompson and Gordon each drove in a pair of runs.
