Duo held on kidnapping charges

Two men are being charged with kidnapping and robbery after threatening three people with a shotgun south of Libby on Friday.

According to a press release from Lincoln County Sheriff Daryl Anderson, Robert Anthony Cook, 29, and Christopher Clark Percy, 22, allegedly threatened a 43-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman.

The pair were reportedly held by force and threatened with a shotgun, then bound and gagged. Cook and Percy then fled the scene with the two victims, forcing the woman's 19-year-old boyfriend to drive.

A police officer in Troy spotted the vehicle traveling west on U.S. 2. He followed the suspects while waiting for additional officers.

Officers stopped the vehicle west of Troy. The two suspects were taken into custody without incident.

Cook and Percy were acquaintances of all three victims. They are being held in Lincoln County Jail on three counts of aggravated kidnapping and two counts of robbery.
