Jon Paul Adams "went to be with the Lord" on Feb. 21, 2006.

He was born May 19, 1948, in St. Maries, Idaho, to Carroll and Philis Adams. He graduated from Hamilton High School in Hamilton in 1967.

He married Faith Meyers on Oct. 14, 1972, and they had two sons, Chris and Todd. They also have two grandsons, Chance and Isaac Adams.

Jon was preceded in death by his grandparents, Philip and Nellie Long, and Chalmer and Lena Adams; his father, Carroll Adams; and a beloved niece, Holly Timmons.

He is survived by his wife, Faith; sons, Chris Adams, and Todd Adams and his wife, Jennifer, and their sons, Chance and Isaac; his mother, Philis Adams; his sister and brother-in-law, Alaina and David Board; his nephews, Jeff Timmons and his wife, Carla, sons, Brad and Truman, and daughter, Brittney, and Greg Timmons and his wife, Laurie, sons Kevin, Bob and Mike, and daughter, Nina. He is also survived by his father- and mother-in-law, Ronald and Bertha Meyers; brothers-in-law, Rod Meyers and his wife, Holly, their sons, Shawn, Dylan, Cody and Adam, and daughter, Rachel, Jim Meyers and his wife, Lorraine, and Randy Meyers and his daughter, BreAnne, and son, Brenton; and his sister-in-law, Vicki Funk, and her husband, Paul, daughter Shelby, and son, Conner; and many uncles, aunts and cousins.

Jon loved life and fought a long, courageous, and often painful fight against diabetes, blindness, renal failure and heart disease. He never gave up the fight, never complained and handled his health problems with grace. He impressed everyone with his bravery in the face of his many infirmities.

He loved his family and his God more than anything, often saying that he didn't care whether he had a penny to his name as long as he had his family around him, and that his sons were his greatest treasure. He loved his grandsons, who loved him back and called him "The Incredible Papa."

He loved to travel and enjoyed racing stock cars and hanging out with his sons. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Those wishing to give a memorial in his honor may do so to Lifeline of Hope International Orphan Aid, 135 Kelly Road, Kalispell, MT 59901.

Visitation for Jon will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at the church of The Nazarene, with burial afterward at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
