| December 31, 2006 1:00 AM

Life Flight took a man to a Missoula hospital after a snowmobile injury at Canyon Creek Saturday morning. He suffered severe head trauma and was unconscious when the Flathead County Sheriff's Office received the report. He later died from his injuries.

A woman complained fireworks lit up her window and rattled her house on Shady Lane.

Four people stranded on Chair 11 at Big Mountain reached the sheriff's office when they called for help. They were soon rescued, but the caller, a 21-year-old woman, asked dispatchers to let her mother know she'd be a little late.

A fire on Northern Lights Boulevard was extinguished before the fire department arrived.

A man called the sheriff's office when he found an open canister of propane in his East Reserve home. Someone left it blowing propane in an attempt to kill him, he said.

Deputies arrested a man for partner/family member assault after he reportedly hit a woman on the back of the head.

On Coverdell Road, a man reportedly stabbed his girlfriend in the wrist and took her keys so she couldn't leave.
