| December 22, 2006 1:00 AM

Kalispell police took a call at about 9:30 p.m. when a driver on Fifth Avenue West North reportedly drove badly. The man made it as far as Sunnyview Drive before rear-ending another driver. He went to the hospital to be checked out and to the jail on a DUI charge.

Officers had advice for the people involved when a man reported that his ex-girlfriend took his car.

A man on Charlotte Avenue aroused suspicion Wednesday night when he roamed through the neighborhood with a sack in his hand. An officer found him nearby and sent him on his way.

A resident on Appleway Drive called for help and then said her roommate had held her down and called her names. She didn't want to press charges.

On North Meridian Road, a man said a woman threatens him.

A woman who ran into a parked car at 2 a.m. was arrested for DUI. It was at 4 a.m. when someone complained about a horn that had been honking for 10 minutes. An officer gave a ride to someone inside the noisy truck and told him to pick up his keys when he is sober.

Greeting cards aren't supposed to contain threats, but that's what arrived at the Department of Family Services office. The proper sentiment is merry Christmas, not scary Christmas.

Firefighters offered a ladder to someone who was trying to get back into his apartment through a balcony door.
