An alert was issued about a plane landing with an engine on fire at 1:30 a.m. Thursday at Glacier Park International Airport. The Flathead County Sheriff's Office dispatched emergency services, but the plane landed safely and the fire was out. Hours later, there was a scare about a plane landing with only one wheel down at City Airport, but it also landed safely.

Items stolen from a home on Ridgewood Drive were taken to a pawn shop. There is a suspect in the theft.

A truck was found on its side off of Montana 35 near McWinnegar Slough. No driver was found, though. Other discoveries included a light pole in the middle of the road near Kmart.

Vehicle collisions with deer are a dime a dozen, but one driver had the novelty of hitting an elk at 1:30 a.m. Thursday on Montana 206.

A disturbance between a man and woman near Bigfork involved yelling, throwing items, and a baseball bat. No one was seriously hurt.

A caller reported seeing someone running with a gun, but it was a law-enforcement situation.

Neighbors clashed over horses on Wettington Place. A problem between a mother and son was reported on Eagle Drive.

A tree on a power line caused a fire on Marken Loop Road.

A woman on East Evergreen Drive said her boyfriend had been tormenting her all night and she wanted him removed. They were arguing about drug paraphernalia, she said. He was arrested on charges of family member assault, possession of paraphernalia and contempt.

Another man was arrested after a domestic problem on Canyon Road in Hungry Horse on Wednesday night.

A peeping Tom was reported late Wednesday on McKenzie.

Traffic was blocked but no life-threatening injuries were reported at a crash involving a logging truck and a car Thursday morning on U.S. 2, east of Marion. A rash of crashes was reported Thursday evening when snow started accumulating on highways.
