Flathead County Sheriff's Office

| August 28, 2006 1:00 AM

The Flathead County Sheriff's Office heard two people's versions of the story, but the first one went like this: A man returned some arrows he bought to a business because they didn't work. The proprietor gave him back his money and told him to get off the property or the owner would hunt him down. Deputies are investigating the second version, also.

Threatening calls were reported on Solberg Drive.

A game warden was notified of a limping black bear at McGregor Lake. A big bear caused concern on North Hilltop, where a resident worried about the safety of children and horses.

On Ellsworth Lane, a resident doesn't like a man pointing a camera at the house and wanted officers to know that he's done it before.

A man said his wife threatened to shoot him on Deer Trail, but when a deputy arrived, the man was believed to be the aggressor, not his wife.

There were numerous complaints about people's driving abilities.

Someone yelled obscenities on the Rails to Trails route. On the bike trail by Days Acres Lane, a resident told a stroller to get off the path because it is on private property. When the walker said the path is public property, the resident got nasty.

A burglary was reported at a Meadow Lake building.

An ATV was stolen on Lower Valley Road.

Gravestones were turned over at Conrad Cemetery.
