Audrey Mae Geror, 86

Audrey Mae Geror, 86, a longtime Whitefish resident, passed away Sunday, Aug. 6, 2006, at the North Valley Hospital of natural causes. She was born Oct. 3, 1919, the daughter of Walter and Helen Goar in St. Paul, Minn.

Audrey married Harold J. Murphy on Sept. 1, 1938, in Whitefish. Two children were born of this union, Katharine Murphy and James Murphy.

Audrey married Henry Geror on Dec. 31, 1962.

Audrey loved her family and was very proud of her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by family and friends.

Audrey loved to travel and enjoyed trips to Ireland, Alaska, Hawaii, the Bahamas and throughout the United States.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Whitefish, the Whitefish Moose Lodge, past member of the Eastern Star and Beta Sigma Phi of Whitefish. She loved to play bridge.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, James Goar; and by both husbands.

Audrey is survived by her children; Katharine Murphy of Whitefish, and James and Bobbie Murphy of Council Bluffs, Iowa; five grandchildren, Nick and Laurie Murphy of Bremerton, Wash., Mike Murphy of Louisville, Ky., Patrick Murphy of Chicago, David and Anita Diesen of Phoenix, and Jeff and Dorne Diesen of Kalispell; four great-grandchildren, Jessica, Alex and Kylie Murphy, all of Bremmerton, and Skyler Murphy of Louisville. She is survived by a sister, Martha Pierson, in St. Paul, Minn.; a brother, Richard, and Sarah Goar of Great Falls; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 10, at the First Presbyterian Church of Whitefish, with the Rev. Louis Stoker officiating.

Arrangements and cremation were under the direction of the Austin Funeral Home in Whitefish.
