The Kalispell Street Tree Commission is looking for your recyclables for its semi-annual recycling drive today at the Flathead County Fairgrounds.

Recycling drive at fairgrounds today

Bring your newspapers, magazines, office paper, cardboard, phone books and aluminum cans between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to the north end of the fairgrounds.

The money will be used to buy street trees for the community.

Church rummage sale set for today

Epworth United Methodist Church has its annual spring rummage sale from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. today in the basement of the church, 329 Second Ave. E.

Clothing for the family, household goods, furniture, toys, baked goods, and more will be for sale. From 1 to 2:30 p.m., you can buy three items for a dollar.

Proceeds will go to a health clinic for American Indians and survivors of the Philippines landslide.

Auction today benefits Creston Fire Department

The 40th annual Creston Auction and Country Fair is in full swing today and Sunday near the Creston School grounds 12 miles east of Kalispell on Montana 35. The annual event is a fundraiser for the Creston Fire Department.

Today's auction gets under way at 9:30 a.m. and will feature everything including building materials, sports equipment, tools and tack. Sunday's sale, starting at noon, features cars, trucks, recreational vehicles, tractors and other large equipment.

The Eastside Grange sale will have an arts-and-crafts sale on the premises, with a rummage and bake sale in the Creston School gym.
