Flathead Valley Community College’s Theatre Department’s final play of 2018 is Tony Award-winning playwright Mary Zimmerman’s “The Secret in the Wings.”
Performances are scheduled at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Dec. 6 to 8 and Dec. 13 to 15 in the campus theater.
In “The Secret in the Wings,” Zimmerman has adapted a group of morbid fairytales to create the dark story of a terrified young girl left in the care of her creepy next-door neighbor when her parents venture out for the evening. As the babysitter reads to the girl from a book, the characters in each fairytale materialize, each tale breaking off at its most horrifying moment. Not a bedtime story, “The Secret in the Wings” is recommended for mature audiences only.
Tickets for the play are $10 for general admission, $7 for seniors and $5 for students and can be purchased online at www.fvcc.edu, in the FVCC Bookstore or at the door any night of the show.
