Flathead County up to 11 positive cases

Flathead County’s positive coronavirus cases crossed into double digits Tuesday morning after two women in their 20s tested positive, bumping the valley’s total to 11 cases.

According to data from the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services, Flathead County positives include three individuals in their 20s, three individuals in their 30s, one individual in their 40s, three in their 50s and one person in their 60s.

According to the Flathead City-County Health Department, five of these individuals engaged in domestic out-of-state travel and one other had been traveling internationally. The remaining five cases are still under investigation.

Lincoln County also received another positive test result, bringing the area’s total to five, and Lake County is still sitting at three.

As a whole, the state testing laboratory in Helena has completed 4,558 tests and of these, 198 have come back positive, as of Tuesday afternoon. These positives are now spread throughout 21 counties, with Gallatin and Yellowstone counties containing about half of the total cases.

According to the state’s recording protocol, all positive test results are counted in the county the test was completed in.
