Caller warns police about mean manager

| March 8, 2020 2:00 AM

Someone called Kalispell Police to “warn them” about a gas station manager who purportedly “tries to cheat people and is very mean to people.”

Someone called out of concern that people were trying to break into a car after hearing banging noises and seeing flashlights moving around a carport in an alley. Their concerns were heightened when they thought the people lit something on fire after seeing smoke.Although they didn’t see flames the smoke reportedly got worse and they kept saying, “Oh my god, oh my god, they are lighting something on fire.” Turns out, it was just a recreational fire in a backyard and the lights were headlamps.

Someone was suspicious of a man dressed in all black who reportedly popped out from behind cars near mailboxes and walked over to a shed in a field across from apartments.

A man with tattoos and no shoes allegedly told someone he was running from police and left on foot on U.S. 93 South.

A woman believed someone came into her apartment while she was gone. There were allegedly no signs of forced entry so she thought they had a key and told officers the only other key was with property managers. Nothing was reported missing or broken, yet the TV, which she claimed was on when she left, was off when she returned. Her dog also growled before entering the apartment, which it supposedly only does when someone else has been there.

Someone’s phone was allegedly stolen at a bar and the bartender knew who was the culprit and thought they would be back around at midnight as usual.

A woman reportedly thought people were “out creeping around” and trying to break into vehicles when she saw what looked like a man dressed in dark clothing looking into her vehicle with a flashlight and then ran.

A white vehicle reportedly jumped over a median and four lanes of traffic, almost hitting a car turning onto Conway Drive.
