Lakers AA earn Saturday split with Royals
BILLINGS — After sweeping the Billings Royals in a Friday night double header, the Kalispell Lakers AA got off to a hot start on Saturday, routing the Royals 8-0 in the first game of a secnd double header. Pitchers Jack Corriveau and Reid Barrows teamed up for the shut out .
Corriveau struck out six batters and allowed zero runs on three hits. Barrows threw for two innings and struck out Aiden Montez to finish the game.
Kobe Burland, Ben Corriveau and Gage Brink each had RBIs in the third inning, the Lakers’ most prolific of the game.
The Lakers scored eight runs on nine hits with zero errors.
Connor Drish went 3 for 5 at the plate. Ben Corriveau was 2 for 4.
Eli McCoy took the loss for the Royals. He pitched two and one-third innings.

BILLINGS — Brady Uhren doubled and scored to break a tie in the bottom of the sixth inning to help the Billings Royals edge the Kalispell Lakers 6-5 in the second game of a double header on Saturday.
It was the Royals’ first win of the weekend.
Luke Halland’s run at the top of the fifth tied things up at 5-5.
The Lakers hat five runs on eight hits with one error.
