Loggers beat Crew; Twins and Expos in progress

WHITEFISH — The Libby Loggers used a late lead to beat the Spokane Crew 11-9 at the Sapa/Johnsrud Memorial Tournament at Memorial Field on Saturday.
Libby scored eight runs in the fourth inning to take a 10-9 lead and added a run in the fifth to seal the win.
Chandler Bower singled on a 1-2 count and scored two runs in the fourth. Tucker Masters and Aydan Williamson also scored runs in that inning.
Leading the Loggers at the plate was Alex Svendsbye with two hits on three at bats.
Pitcher Moxley Roesler-Begalke lasted three innings and allowed nine hits and seven runs. Libby’s bullpen was sharp as well — Jeff Offenbecher got the last six outs of the game to get the save.
At press time, the Glacier Twins A and Billings Expos AA were tied 0-0 at the bottom of the third inning.
The Sapa/Johnsrud Memorial Tournament continues today with games starting at 8:30 a.m. at Memorial Field in Whitefish.

The Twins’ only run was scored by Jacob Polumbus in the first inning.
Stevyn Andrachick pitched six innings for Glacier, allowing five runs on six hits with five strikeouts and one walk.

WHITEFISH — Chandler Bower got the Libby Loggers’ offense going with a run in the second inning as the Loggers edged the Missoula Eagles 3-1 at the Sapa/Johnsrud Memorial Tournament Friday.
Quade Anderson went the distance on the mound for the Loggers, giving up one run on five hits with six strikeouts.
