This little piggy got run over

| February 15, 2020 2:00 AM

A driver apparently ran over a woman’s “left big toe.” The driver told the Kalispell Police Department she stopped for someone crossing in front of her and the sun was in her eyes so she didn’t see the woman whose toe she ran over.

A man said he was “very confused” when he discovered he was on a property’s “Do Not Rent” list.

A woman called the police because she was upset about a delivery truck that allegedly parks in front of a restaurant frequently and partially blocks the entryway. She said she spoke to the driver and he “blew her off” and the employees there seemed unable to do anything about it. However, law enforcement wasn’t able to do anything, either, since the truck parks on private property.

Someone was worried about an infant because its carrier was in the center console of a car and there was also a toddler in the front seat of the vehicle. The vehicle was parked in a parking lot and the female driver was apparently not in the vehicle. The caller said he had “seen this female before.”

Someone called the police because of a “dead cat across the road” in front of some mailboxes.

A woman told the police she was receiving “vulgar texts” from two random numbers. When an officer called one of the numbers, the male who answered said he hadn’t sent the texts and his number had been “scammed before.”

A woman learned her child’s father had requested a welfare check on her and her child in 2019, so she called the police. She said she wanted to know which officer would call her back “because she has had previous issues with KPD not taking her complaints seriously.” She added she has apparently “filed lawsuits or complaints against the department because of it.”

A KPD officer was “flagged down” at a grocery store because there were “suspicious individuals” in the store. The officer walked through the store and spoke with an employee.

An apartment resident heard a suspicious beeping noise, and it turned out to be a discarded smoke alarm in a dumpster.

A gas station employee was concerned about a driver “slumped over the wheel.” The driver was reportedly breathing and “had his head down looking at his phone.”

A man said his girlfriend’s car was broken into “due to not having locks that work.” A water bottle, sweatshirts and makeup were stolen.

A parent said his teenager saw someone looking in the window of their house, but “when he looked to see who it was, he just saw a shadow leaving.”

A home improvement store employee said someone stole a 6-foot-long flatbed trailer. The thief apparently “cut the cable that kept them all attached and then took off.”

A worried mother in Polson called because she said her son called her, and when she called back 30 minutes later, he didn’t answer. She said she “thought it was strange he would call and then not answer his phone.” An officer checked his Kalispell residence and saw his vehicle there, although no one answered the door. He wasn’t believed to be in any danger and his mother was advised to try to make contact with him later in the day.
