LEWISTOWN – Zach Veneman’s two-run, two-out triple keyed a five-run fourth inning for the Glacier Twins Friday, but the host Lewistown Redbirds retook the lead and won their State A Legion game 9-6 Friday.

The loss puts the Twins in a loser-out game Saturday against the Bitterroot Bucs.

Lewistown took a 3-0 lead on a two-run single in the third from Kyle Lee. Lee added another RBI single in a two-run sixth inning as Lewistown broke a 6-6 tie.

In between Glacier began working back in its half of the third when Lewistown committed back-to-back errors to score Stevyn Andrachick, who’d doubled.

The Twins’ fourth-inning rally started with an RBI double from Devin Beale, and ended when Lewistown booted Payton Davisson’s grounder to first to score Veneman.

eneman scored.

That put the Twins up 6-3, but Lewistown answered with three runs in the fifth to knot the game. Nolan Fry supplied the key hit for the Redbirds – a two-run single.
