Rowdy drivers interrupt peace and quiet

Vehicles allegedly seen racing were being “very rowdy and reckless.”

The smell of burned rubber was reportedly emanating from where a group of people were gathered in the road doing burnouts in their vehicles. Someone who smelled the odor told Kalispell Police Department it was “kind of getting wild down there,” and wanted to know when it was going to end.

People supposedly driving vehicles back and forth and revving engines was disrupting a woman trying to work.

A later call came in about vehicles revving engines and spinning wheels from someone who reportedly requested the activity “be shut down.”

A woman on a tandem bicycle was allegedly hit by a vehicle, no injuries were reported.

A customer was reportedly threatening to destroy a store due to a nonrefundable purchase.

Someone complained about a large group of people in a parking lot who were drinking and purportedly “not maintaining social distancing.” They were advised that complaints about social distancing may be directed to the health department.

Someone claimed they had seen “several shady vehicles show up” in addition to people carrying backpacks. The shady caravan was reportedly coming in from an alley and front street. Extra patrol was provided.

A man in a vehicle allegedly went up to another man’s children in an alley between Third and Fourth avenues and tried to get them to approach his truck, so he yelled to them out a window and the man took off.

An intoxicated passenger inside a vehicle reportedly threw something at someone’s car and when they asked her why she did that she was unable to “appropriately answer,” and started yelling.

A woman reportedly could hear fighting and what sounded like a man hitting a woman. Both parties claimed it was a verbal disturbance only.

A woman’s intoxicated ex reportedly broke into her house after breaking the front door and refused to leave.

A man alleged his wife stole his stimulus check and was living at a motel.

A man wearing a plaid shirt and camo pants was supposedly walking across Whitefish Stage into the Mission Trail neighborhood carrying a skill saw, which had someone concerned he may have stolen it.

A woman purportedly told police there was an altercation between her mother, sister and sister’s boyfriend. She heard supposedly heard her mother scream they were not allowed to take a dog when the call dropped. Police gave the mother advice on filing for a restraining order or eviction.

A woman driving a vehicle that had a mattress in the back was reportedly swerving on the road.

A woman reportedly complained that two dogs walking on a tennis court were going to damage them. The location was found to be private property owned by an HOA.

A man reportedly found a red cherry wood jewelry box with a silver heart on his property.
