Woman ready to pitch in at work

Some people carry briefcases to work, while others carry pitchforks. Flathead County Sheriff’s Office made contact with such a woman who was allegedly carrying a pitchfork on U.S. 2. She told deputies she was on her way to work in Kalispell and did not want to share her name.

A woman calling from Stafford Street in Kalispell reportedly told officers a tan, “junky older van” was following her while she was jogging. She alleged that she tried to lose the van by turning around, but it pulled into a driveway, backed up and continued following her, so she turned a corner and ran in another direction, darting down another street. She saw the van reportedly turn out of the neighborhood and onto Whitefish Stage. The area was marked for extra patrol.

A drive-thru worker allegedly gave a man the middle finger and “mouthed vulgarities at him” U.S. 2 in Kalispell. After talking with officers he reportedly decided to contact the businesses corporate office about the woman’s behavior.

A Woodcrest Lane resident in Somers allegedly received a strange phone call from a man who knew their husband’s name and said he was at their front door, then mumbled something, and hung up.

A Kalispell resident claimed a person was outside “mixing meth” and wanted someone to check on the situation immediately. Turns out, the claim was unfounded and the person was reportedly doing an activity involving gold panning.

Extra patrol was requested on Four Mile Drive by someone reportedly doing construction for the city who said signs were being stolen and someone ran over a barrel.

A woman calling from Fourth Street in Columbia Falls supposedly wanted to know whether or not she could get in trouble for using or carrying a spray bottle containing a vodka-based disinfectant in her vehicle or in public. She was given advice.

People riding four-wheelers and dirt bikes around their property were purportedly disturbing a woman’s livestock on Dern Draw in Kalispell.

Officers received a public safety-related call from someone on Montana 206 in Columbia Falls who alleged that a bar was having a party of about 30 people. The caller was advised to contact the health department.

Kalispell Police Department received a report from someone claiming that people “put a can of Dr. Pepper in their full tank.”

A red suitcase with a tag attached that read “Flathead to Seattle” was reportedly found behind a building. It was retrieved for safekeeping.

A man and woman reportedly had the stamina to argue for two hours when they were heard fighting and yelling “stop hitting me” and profanities.

A suspicious man was supposedly walking in an alley, ducking in and out of bushes and loitering by the “pump house” in the area of the River View subdivision.

A store manager was concerned about the welfare of a woman with a shopping cart who fell multiple times.
