| April 2, 2020 1:00 AM

The Kalispell Police Department received a report of a young man who was seen putting tools down his pants. In a separate call, someone was suspicious about a customer who had a package fall out of his pants that “looked like rock salt.” Perhaps cargo pants are back in style.

A man said he “answered a video call” and then the woman who called threatened to post pictures of him on social media unless he paid her $75,000.

A “nice” dog was apparently “getting into people’s trash and peeing on everything.”

Someone in an apartment complex told the KPD he didn’t believe vehicles were going 25 miles per hour even though there was a speed limit sign.

A driver said he “just witnessed a vehicle start fishtailing.”

A gate appeared to be damaged.

A woman in Kalispell believed her sister stole her identity.

A hotel employee told the Whitefish Police Department she was suspicious about a guest who asked her about “the cops coming there looking for them.” Apparently “all subjects [were] booted from the location.”

A 22-month-old child apparently dialed 911 and could be heard crying in the background of the call, but it was determined there was “no emergency at [the] location.”

A woman said her son said, “Hey, Siri” to the phone and it called 911.

A person cited for disorderly conduct in a rented room apparently also damaged the property, but the property owner didn’t want to pursue property damages after all, and said it was a misunderstanding between the staff and the guest.

A man wanted law enforcement to check on a woman and make sure she was OK since she was spotted waiting for a bus, even though all of the bus lines had been canceled.

A Columbia Falls woman, who had previously reported a break-in, said $4,578 was now found missing from her checking account.

A woman told the police she was going to use her Social Security check to “bring healthy snacks to the [police] station.” She said she was bringing snacks to the officers to “keep them healthy.”

Subjects behind a mall in Whitefish were asked to move along.
