All State, All Conference players named for Class A & B volleyball

All state and all conference volleyball selections for Class A and B were announced last week, headlined by host of local athletes.

In Northwestern A, three Columbia Falls players, Angellica Street, Kiera Brown, and Madysen Hoerner were first team all conference. Brown and Street are also all-state selections.

Whitefish’s Kaiah Moore was all state and first team all conference. Luci Ridgeway, also of Whitefish, was first team all conference.

McKenzie Proffitt and Ember Rode of Libby, Misty Tenas of Polson, Dillen Hoerner and Lauren Falkner, both of Columbia Falls were named second team all conference players.

Four players from Polson were honorable mention: Lena Pawloski, Ara Mercer, Berkley Ellis and Grace Quinones. Also honorable mention were Sheyla Gallagher of Libby and Mikenna Ells of Whitefish.

Columbia Falls coach Jolandie Brooks was selected as coach of the year for her work with the Wildkats.

For District 7B, Eureka spiker Maggie Graves was named to all state honors.

Eureka’s Avory Escobar made first team all conference and Rhianna Hawkins was named second team.

From Bigfork, Aubrey Halverson and Josephine Howlett are both second team all conference selections.
