Hill tops boys XC field at Glacier Invite

Glacierís Simon Hill continued his stellar cross country season by topping the boys field at the Glacier Invite at Rebecca Farm on Wednesday, a final primer before the Class AA state meet next weekend.

Hill clocked a time of 16:10, which was 41 seconds ahead of the second-place runner, Brad Chichosz of Harlem.

Glacierís Sam Ells came in third with a time of 17:15.

Flatheadís Tori Noland-Gillespie finished second in the girls race, edged by LíTia Lawrence of Harlem. Noland-Gillespieís time was 19:58.

Hannah Perrin of Flathead placed third with a time of 20:33.

Also in the top 10 were Kya Wood and Neila Lyngholm of Flathead at fourth and fifth, Glacierís Kynzie Peterson at sixth and Sierra Vickrey and Carlin Manning of Flathead at seventh and 10th.

In the boys top 10 was Gabriel Felton of Flathead in fourth, Libbyís John Cheroske fifth, Tyler Avery, Ethan Strand, Andrew Turner and Jeff Lilliard at sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth respectively.

The Class AA state meet is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 26 in Great Falls.
