ImagineIF Libraries’ senior librarian Megan Glidden has been selected as an American Library Association Emerging Leader for the Class of 2019.

The American Library Association Emerging Leaders program is a leadership development program that enables newer library workers from across the country to participate in problem-solving work groups, network with peers, and have an opportunity to serve the profession in a leadership capacity.

As head of the Community Engagement Team at ImagineIF, Glidden has helped develop many innovative projects for the Flathead Valley, including a Seed Library located at ImagineIF Columbia Falls, the result of a partnership with the Good Seed Co. She has also been a key leader in helping launch Making Montana, a two-day festival of invention and creativity featuring a Manufacturing and Technology Expo alongside the Kalispell Mini Maker Faire. The Faire takes place at the Flathead Valley Fairgrounds Expo Building each February and houses all kinds of makers, manufacturers and tech companies under one roof. Glidden has a proven ability to find new ways to connect with the community by offering more interactive and hands-on programming.
