Bigfork High School, Sr.
Soccer, Cross Country, Basketball, Track & Field
A star for all seasons, Bigfork’s Mattie McAnally is the rare four-sport athlete and was the heart and soul of a Valkyries basketball team that made back-to-back trips to the state tournament in her final two seasons. Bigfork’s point guard, McAnally rarely came off the floor and earned first team all-conference honors on the hardwood for three straight seasons.
In addition to her basketball exploits, McAnally was a first team all-conference soccer player, dabbled in cross country during the same season, and posted four top-seven finishes at the Class B state track finals in helping the Vals to a second place finish. McAnally was part of Bigfork’s winning 4x400 relay team at the state meet.
When she wasn’t scoring goals for the Bigfork soccer team in the fall, McAnally moonlighted as a cross country runner and did it well enough to help the Valkyries to a state championship. McAnally finished eighth at the state meet, earning all-state accolades.
