Denise Germann, the parkís public affairs officer, did not know the womanís identity or the exact nature of her injuries.

The woman was a passenger on an eastbound motorcycle when she was struck by a 10-to 15-pound rock near Triple Arches on the west side of Logan Pass.

She was knocked unconscious for a short time and had to be transported by Three Rivers Ambulance to a lower point on Sun Road where ALERT helicopter could land.
