Glacier High School, Sr.
Arguably the greatest softball player ever produced in Kalispell, Ali Williams took the state by storm for a second straight season.
Williams capped her historic career with a brilliant 347-strikeout campaign that led Glacier to the state championship game for the second straight season. Williams, who will pitch at Carroll College next spring, finished her senior year with a 0.62 ERA and batted .455 with a team-leading 11 home runs.
Williams was so singularly dominant as a senior that her ERA was more than a point lower than anyone else in Class AA and she piled up more than twice as many strikeouts as any other pitcher, per www.montanaaasoftballstats.com.
Williams threw the first two perfect games in Glacier history as a senior, including a magnificent 20-strikeout destruction of Butte on May 10. She needed just 77 pitches against the Bulldogs, a game in which she never reached so much as a three-ball count against any of the 21 batters she faced.
