The Bigfork Playhouse Childrenís Theater invites students in grades two through six to audition, Tuesday, Jan. 2 for the cast of ďJack and the Giant,Ē based on the classic story Jack & The Beanstalk.†

Auditions will be held at the Bigfork Playhouse Childrenís Theatre Afterschool Center from 4:30-5:30 p.m. for second and third grades and from 5:30-7:30 p.m. for fourth through sixth grades. †

†The giant is making life pretty miserable for Jack, his mother and the entire kingdom.†Jack is even forced to sell his beloved dancing cow for magic beans.†And where does Jack go?† Thatís right!† Jack goes up the beanstalk and into the castle, where he not only fights Gogmagog, the giant, but the malicious Troll as well.†

This production calls for a large cast of over 12 feature roles with a medium-sized chorus.†It costs nothing to audition, however there is a small $40 participation fee to be a part of the show if cast.† Auditioners are asked to prepare a 30-second monologue or short selection from another play or book (or chose from one provided at the audition) and plan to learn and sing something for us at the audition.†Experience is not required, and some materials will be provided. Participants should wear comfortable shoes they can move in, as stage performance requires a lot of movement.

†Technical parts, including building sets, props, costumes, lights and sound also need filling and anyone interested in participating in the production off stage is encouraged to call or email. Parental and student assistance is welcome.†To sign-up and for more information, call 837-4886 or email bpct@bigforksummerplayhouse.com or check our website at www.bigforksummerplayhouse.com.

††

The Bigfork Playhouse Childrenís Theater would love to see you in JACK & THE GIANT!
