COLUMBIA FALLS — Emily Getts turned in another dominating performance for Columbia Falls and teammates Sydney Grilley and Morgan Stenger won at No. 2 doubles, but Whitefish prevailed in the other outings to claim a 5-2 Northwestern A dual victory on Thursday afternoon.
WHITEFISH — Leadoff hitter Abbie O’Brien went 5 for 5 and Rebecca Knutson and Kylee Beccari combined on a 1-hitter as Flathead crushed Whitefish 28-0 in a nonconference softball matchup on Thursday at Smith Fields.

FRENCHTOWN — Despite a slow first half, the Kalispell Black and Blue was able to find its form after the break, beating Frenchtown 40-7 in a MYRA rugby match on Saturday. The Black and Blue (5-0) finished the regular season undefeated and will enter the state tournament as the top seed.
HELENA — Glacier junior pitcher Ali Williams had 31 strikeouts in back-to-back no-hitters of Helena High and Helena Capital on Saturday, earning a pair of victories to push the Wolfpack (13-3 overall, 8-2 Western AA) into first place.
EUREKA — Derek Peel, Micah McClure and Walter Wood combined on a 1-hitter as the Mission Valley Mariners beat the Kootenai Valley Rangers 14-2 on Friday at the Kootenai Round Robin American Legion baseball tournament.
Scheduled for two seven inning games, the Flathead Bravettes played 14 innings of softball against Western AA opponents Missoula Sentinel and Missoula Big Sky at Conrad Complex on Thursday but in an unconventional fashion.
