HELENA – Lawmakers want to tackle the state’s business equipment tax, but it’s predicted to be a moving target through the duration of the legislative session.

That’s because legislators are wrestling with how to replace or “backfill” the revenue lost to local governments when the equipment tax is reduced or eliminated.

You're right, Roark. Instead of constantly looking for new sources of revenue, rotate 180 degrees and start chopping at the beast that is consuming us.

I literally cannot believe how inept the GOP is. As I've said before, they don't know how to truly curtail the monolithic state because, like the democrats, they love too much of it. Here, for free I will give you a simple and effective answer; cut all government that is not directly related to Military, police, courts, and emergency services. Start respecting and protecting individual rights and liberty and stop acting like RINO's. Sheesh, you've barely been in office an already the you're a cruel joke.-I mean come on, stop wasting taxpayer money on the Medicinal Cannabis issue and start putting your focus where it is really needed; cutting taxes, spending, regulation, and gov't largesse.
