During a recent Model U.N. conference, Flathead High School students from four Western Civilization honors courses attempted to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and Syrian crisis.

Although the sophomores had from 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. to undertake such an enormous task, they came prepared after spending an entire quarter learning solely about the modern Middle East in the classes taught by Genia Allen-Schmid and Pat Reilly.

Yes it is disconcerting that the youth today could be taught to create peace. What would all the haters do? Continue to emit lies and fear I'm sure. But they would eventually fade from our memory.
Who would buy the weapons? Books are what we would want. Armed with knowledge, no foe is fearsome.
We could never control the world if everyone was educated and all our endeavors were directed toward peace. No need to control that which is true and just.
Everyone is a slave to something, WHY not peace?
Answer me that, why couldn't it be peace?
It could be, if you let it.
            It starts with you.
I won't hold my breath. Instead, I look forward, trusting that our youth learn from the past and choose a path to a bright future.

This is disturbing. Get the UN out of our schools and stop brainwashing kids to be world slaves.
