Citing a thorough, two-year-long planning process, the Flathead County commissioners on Friday unanimously approved an update of the 2007 county growth policy.

The revised growth policy now will include a property rights bill of rights, among other changes, that lists a number of requirements that must be met in land-use regulations “because of the increasing emphasis by the Montana courts on the ‘regulatory’ nature of growth policies.”

WOW! debbietant....i read your post and i gather that from your first sentence you only believe that non property owners should be elected to office. since you own this extreme view i will also gather that you believe that there should be no private land ownership. Perhaps the government should own all the land?

the dictionarys definition of communism as follows:

1.a theory or system of social organization based on the holding of all property in common, actual ownership being ascribed to the community as a whole or to the state.
            2. a system of social organization in which all economic and social activity is controlled by a totalitarian state dominated by a single and self-perpetuating political party.

Gill jodan and la chapelle im sure agree with your take on property rights and i will call them communists as well.

Once again we see what happens when we elect property owners to public office. Get ready for the pig farms, strip malls and dirty water because property owners have just been given a license to steal in Flathead County. Thank you Mayre Flowers and Democrats like Gil Jordan and Mears-LaCappelle for standing up for our collective rights against greedy private property owners!

Why does the Daily Interlake keep quoting BS from Mayre Flowers from Citizens for a Communist Flathead? Her diatribe is nothing but propaganda. Citizens for a Communist Flathead is the most anti-property rights/anti-business organization in the United States. They are funded by far left radican out of state left wing environmental foundations that are frankly anti-american. The Daily Interlake needs to quit giving Citizens for a Communist Flathead any credibility whatsoever.
