A scaled-down Canyon Elementary School is a possibility under a new cost-cutting plan for the Columbia Falls School District.

The school board took a first look Monday at a new plan that would cut staff at the Hungry Horse school but allow it to remain open next year.

CF what are you doing? Stop pussyfooting around and do what needs to be done, make your budget cuts deep and long. You need to use the whole tree to build a fort, not just cut off a branch at a time. This crisis is not going away in a year, two years or even five. You guys must prepare for the worst, being indecisive does not help.
