Not a moment goes by that Chuck Peterson doesn’t wish it was him instead of his only daughter, Taylor, in the final throes of cancer.

“If I could, I’d trade places with her in a heartbeat,” he said.

Have a wonderful time in Hawaii, you both deserve it! You are a strong and amazing young woman, Taylor. You and your father are blessed to have one another, keep your chin up. We will be praying for you and thinking of you all.

It was really great to see the fire trucks out and the guys collecting donations on Sunday. Nice turn-out at Tien's too. Very heartening to see. Be strong! and 808 is right on - Hawaii is a special place, a spirit filled and powerful place. I wish my honey and I could be there.

Is there any way we can send a card to the family, or to Taylor? I don't know her, but would love to support her! She is a lovely girl, and such a fighter!

THANK YOU ELIZABETH!!! This is the kind of post we should all be making! Frankly, the sorrowful, depressing, and ESPECIALLY "I'm sorry for this family's loss" posts are INFURIATING to me right now. Seriously people, Taylor is still alive and is fighting for her life, she still believes she will beat this. She's also a very smart girl and if you don't think she is reading this then wake up! Before posting here please consider the tone of your message and what kind of impact it might have on her.

Taylor, we met at the bachelor auction a month ago...my wife is friends with your mom, who loves you more than anything in the world! Your smile and positive attitude in the face of this adversity is a shining example to the world and you have gained the love and respect of so many people that you have never even met. I pray for you multiple times every day and I believe that God's plan for you is bigger than anybody could ever imagine. Miracles do happen, in many forms...your life coming into existence was one of them...now show us what a fighter you are and let's see another!

I cried when I read this article. Cancer has touched my family twice, but I believe miracles do happen and I will pray for one for your daughter. I'm glad you are looking into alternatives for treatment.

            Prognosis: a medical opinion...

KUDOS to Taylor Peterson for living her life with hope and normalcy! AND for being proactive with other therapies.

There is not one among us who know if we will see the sun rise tomorrow.

We could all take a lesson from Ms. Peterson - it appears that she is NOT letting another's opinion take away the joy of living her life and looking forward.

I cannot imagine the difficulty of this for Taylor and her family. You are in the prayers and thoughts of many.

This story is a true heartbreaker. So happy that Taylor will get to visit Hawaii and spend time with her loved ones. She sure is a strong soul, with lots of class. Blessings and prayers to Taylor and family.

I know Taylor because she was a patient where I use to work and let me tell you that she is a beautiful soul. She is so sweet and mild mannered. She has a very special place in Heaven. Hawaii is only a taste of where she is going but I hope it all works out that she gets to go to Hawaii with those she loves. Hang in there Taylor, we are all praying for you sweety!
