With one helicopter in use now and a brand-new rescue chopper on the way next year, the privately funded aerial rescue organization is developing quickly.

Special thanks to the people involved in this all volunteer crew. Multiple lives saved this month when people needed them most.

I see this post of over a month old, but I'm having a good laugh at Scott davis's idiotic posts. I've heard his name often with complaints about Kalispell City Airport in the past. and it makes me wonder where you are from, (New Yorks Quiet Skies?" If your a non-producing, Retired puke that has nothing better to do than complain.. The Flathead Valley has already been ruined by out of state retirees, with complaints with anything and everything that makes noise. The Flathead valley I grew up in wasn't a retirement home and we had plenty to do for everyone. Its sad that it has changed to what it is now. Out of staters moving here to get away from whatever mess they made, and bringing the same mess and sniveling to the Flathead. Ingredients on Jet Fuel ? what about automotive fuels, or Calcium in drinking water, or chemicals and pesticides on our farms. Your a moron thinking a lawsuit would shut down city airport, and Glacier airport since THEY have most Jet aircraft ! Are you going to take on the FAA, the City, and everyone else ? No one is that stupid or wants to waste money in a losing lawsuit. Dont even get me started on how our great country is doing down the toilet due to worthless lawsuits....But I will say to you Scott Davis, the same thing I would say to my soldiers. "STFU untill you have something intelligent to say"

Dear Council Members, Helicopters burn this stuff over our city. Stop all jet fuel use at our city airport. This stuff is killing people. The location of our city airport is a hazard to the residents for any type of aircraft using this fuel. Jet fuel use Law suits can close this airport completely.

            Quiet Skies of Kalispell

            Scott Davis

            752-1523

What are we breathing in our airspace?
A partial list of the constituents of jet fuel are:
Freon 11; Freon 12; Methyl Bromide; Dichloromethane; cis-l,2-Dichloroethylene; 1,1,1-Trichloroethane; Carbon Tetrachloride; Benzene; Trichloroethylene; Toluene; Tetrachloroethene; Ethylbenzene; m,p-Xylene; o-Xylene; Styrene; 1,3,5-Trimethylbenzene; 1,2,4-Trimethylbenzene; o-Dichlorobenzene; Formaldehyde; Acetaldehyde; Acrolein; Acetone; Propinaldehyde; Crotonaldehyde; Isobutylaldehyde; Methyl Ethyl Ketone; Benzaldehyde; Veraldehyde; Hexanaldehyde; Ethyl Alcohol; Acetone; Isopropyl Alcohol; Methyl Ethyl Ketone; Butane; Isopentane; Pentane; Hexane; Butyl Alcohol; Methyl Isobutyl Ketone; n,n-Dimethyl Acetamide; Dimethyl Disulfide; m-Cresol; 4-Ethyl Toulene; n- Heptaldehyde; Octanal; 1,4-Dioxane; Methyl Phenyl Ketone; Vinyl Acetate; Heptane; Phenol; Octane; Anthracene; Dimethylnapthalene(isomers); Flouranthene; 1-methylnaphthalene; 2-methylnaphthalene; Naphthalene; Phenanthrene; Pyrene; Benzo(a)pyrene; 1-nitropyrene; 1,8-dinitropyrene; 1,3-Butadiene; sulfites; nitrites; nitrogen oxide; nitrogen monoxide; nitrogen dioxide; nitrogen trioxide; nitric acid; sulfur oxides; sulfur dioxide; sulfuric acid; urea; ammonia; carbon monoxide; ozone; particulate matter (PM10, PM2.5); and finally this compound; 3-nitrobenzanthrone. These petro-chemicals are emitted in such high quantities that we can smell them in our yard and home. The threshold for toxicity is far below the level of being able to detect these chemicals by odor. The jetport was installed in Sedona in 2006, prior to that we had a small local airport; I think jetports do not belong inside small towns.
Chronic effects of some of the constituents in jet fuel (benzene, toluene, xylene, naphthalenes, alkyl benzenes, and various alkyl PAHs) include changes in the liver and harmful effects on the kidneys, heart, lungs, and nervous system. Petroleum-derived fuels and fuel oils are complex mixtures of hydrocarbons. Inhalation and percutaneous absorption are the primary routes of uptake into the peripheral blood. [1] Following absorption, organic solvents undergo biotransformation (which occurs primarily in the liver), or they accumulate in lipid-rich tissues such as those of the nervous system. [2] Metabolism in the liver results in the detoxification of the organic solvent through formation of watersoluble compounds that are excreted through urine or bile.

Thank you to the wonderful folks who organized, funded and persevered in building a great asset to this valley!!!

No matter the cost; at the end of the day, you cannot put a price tag on life.

God bless you and keep you safe!

I said Scott Davis is unsafe.... unbalanced.... undereducated..... illogical.... insane.
He can't even argue better than a fourth grader.

You have it all wrong Mommy Dearest, the Mayor and most of the City Council and Mr. Graham are trying to manage the airport the proper way. They are trying to do the wishes of the residents and voters of this wonderful city. It's people like you and others that are making it a conundrum. As for Quiet Skies of Kalispell we are here to stay and keep people informed and ask questions. Kind of a thorn under your saddle ern't we. Now I question if the City airport manager again over stepped his authority pushing his private agenda.
Now LogicalOne is telling us helicopters are not safe, so maybe all of them should be band from the Kalispell City airport as over 2000 people live there everyday, 24/7, 365 days a year. Hmmm You are correct, this is just a little problem right now, and the Mayor is on top of it to keep it a little problem. Stop it in the bug right now.

Smack ya you never cease to amaze me with your logic.

You don't want three helicopters using City, only two. And because the airport is around your house, which you perceive as a dangerous place.... you suggest sending them up to Kidsports...where 2000 kids play soccer on the weekend instead to have their helicopter base.

Oh that is a good choice for Scott Davis because he has nothing better to do than promote a cause that no believes in.

I suggest the City put a control tower on City Hall and move the Mayors office up in it. That would give her a great look at just how little problem there is about all things Davis is crowing about.

Fear is a noble cause as long it's not near Davis's house. What a crock.

            Dear Mayor and City Council,

            King Davis needs some answers!

See what kind of crap floats to the surface when you refuse to manage city assets?
Instead of governing, maybe you should call Chad and ask if it's ok if the Fear helicopter uses City Airport.
You all should be ashamed of yourselves for the conundrum you have created.

Dear Mayor and City Council Members and City Manager,

Who has the say of what kind of aircraft may use our privet city airport? Who gave permission to base that rescue helicopter at the city airport? Did it come in front of the city council? What's going to stop them from bring more and larger ones as they have planned? Our airport is a utility one airport, not a B-1 or B-2 airport. What classification are these aircraft? Did they sign a lease agreement? Did they file any kind of paper work for permission to operate such a operation? Was the public notified and asked if this would be ok? This is a very noble cause, and is needed, but I do believe the residents and home owners of that airport do not want more Helicopters flying in and out of that location. As we know helicopters are louder and don't fly as high as airplanes. Red Eagle Aviation training school of helicopters has been under fire from the residents of this city for the last three years or more. They should base it just north of Kidsports at the old Forest Service building, there's a helicopter pad there all ready. It's a blight and I know the owner of this helicopter can afford to fix it up. It's in an area that there are no residents, all business out there. Buildings and infrastructure is there also. Or G.P.I. This is just a option for them to be good neighbors and respect the concerns and rights to peaceful surroundings of our city.

I am sure they all are going drive 10 mies to Glacier when City AIrport is three blocks south of the the Justice Center just to keep the noise you say is racking your brain into convolutions?

You know, Snotty, you sweety puss.... maybe you are just insane. The FEAR copter is already at City Airport. Look at the pretty little picture in this story. So if since it is there, why do you promote the fact that since everyone in town thinks your are crazy, by your pointing that out over and over again, the "aircraft owner", the sheriff, the pilot and the rescuers would want to pack up and mover to Glacier AIrport?

            That is insanity speaking, Bugsy.

You need to move, my old squeeze.... even the voters have said the airport stays. You are the only pne running around saying you own it! You failed Scotty. Quiet Skies is bust.

I'm so sure the owner of that aircraft would not want to have anything to do with you two. Hope he reads or one of his assistants fills him in on the type of people you are. I'm sure he wasn't told by any one out there at the airport how the people of Kalispell feel about helicopter noise over there city. Maybe he would build a pad just for this noble cause in an area that is not so close to the residents of Kalispell. There are friendly and neighborly people out there that care for others and work with people and I'm sure he is one. You two and others from that airport have not.

Scotty, honey, I see you still are trying to be the chief arbiter of stupid. Hahah!

            Somethings never change!

Here someone beats you at your own name calling game, you faint into a turncoat tattle-tale?

I bet after your silly antics trying to close the airport for 3 years and then flip flop a hundred times that no one would even take notes if you seriously called them. HAHA! So are so deranged.

Hmmm??? I'm sure FEAR and the County Sheriff. Along with Jordan, the organization’s staff includes chief pilot Jason Johnson and contract pilot Jim Bob Pierce of Red Eagle Aviation and The mission crew made up of volunteer search-and-rescue personnel as well as Flathead County Sheriff’s Office deputies are very proud to have you on there side and a spokesman for there cause. You have such a fine way with words when it comes to talking to the residents of Kalispell and the owners of this airport. I think I will forward this on to then to let them know what kind of people they have in there corner and how you are willing to help with your wonderful dialog. Maybe they might want to move it to G.P.I. to be good neighbors and understanding and care for our community and residents they serve.

There you go showing your lack of intellect. Now tell us what difference does it make if that is base at G.P.I. or out in some area that is not populated with home, schools, day cares, churches, people. NOT in town. Your just up set that you are not going to get the FAA funded airport. Get over it. You stop acting like a winey baby. I'm just showing concern for my city and the people that live here. And "YES" the people of Kalispell do to have a say where a rescue helicopter operates, what makes you think we don't, WE OWN THAT AIRPORT. And as for snobs, read what you wrote, you take the cake.

Stop being a cry baby, Smack ya. City airport is there and its going to be used whether you think it so or not.

Despite the upcoming " vote of the people" to decide if the airport is remodeled with FAA funds or "kinda" remodeled with city funds, you have nothing to say about where the rescue helicopter operates, to train or pick up the Sheriff to go on a mission that will save someones life. Its an airport.

The eight missions this new copter has flown has allowed someones "daddy" to come home for dinner or get medical help so they could after their rescue.

You snobs that don't understand that aviation is not a bunch of "elite" people with planes instead of brains will figure it out when someone close to you gets to tell you just how great the sound of that helicopter was when they were desperate to survive in the rugged wilds of Northwest Montana.

You move Davis.... you definitely don't have to be here.

This is all fine and dandy, but don't be asking me to pay for it. And this is just what the residents of Kalispell don't want, MORE Helicopters flying over there homes, schools, day cares, back yards, churches. This is a noble cause, and I wish you all the luck. But MOVE it out of our City Airport. We do not want Helicopters doing training flights all over our neighborhoods. Move it out to G.P.I. or find a field out of town to base it out of. You do not have to be there.

At some point the public will be ask to pay for this out of tax revenues. Been there seen this many times. I would bet money on that statement.
