A Lake County boarding school has found itself in the sights of CNN’s Anderson Cooper following accusations of abuse by former students.

Pinehaven Christian Children’s Ranch and School, located in St. Ignatius, is the focus of a three-part report on Anderson Cooper 360 as part of the show’s “Ungodly Discipline” series. According to former house parents and students of the school, staff members used pressure points to subdue students and one staff member choked students.

Thanks for giving information on Alleged boarding school abuse focus of CNN report. After reading it I am felling very sad as all the parents want to educate their kids in safe and secured academies and if such things happen in the academy then no one will admit their child in such academies. Christian academies for teens are the places where teens get education with full safety. Nice and good post.

Thank you Anderson Cooper for exposing this horrific abuse to kids. This is a very serious crime. In such cases both parents and schools authority have to take strict decision and steps to reduce the case of this types of crime.

Thank you Anderson Cooper for exposing this horrific abuse to children. We hope that law enforcement is investigating this school, these children do not deserve to be treated so badly.

So many times those who run the institutions care more about protecting their power than protecting children. These adult who need to be punished for their crimes.

Thank you goes out to the good folks at http://www.reddit.com/r/realitianity/ for spamming Anderson Cooper's mailing address with requests to make a piece about boarding school abuse.

We urge you to help us in Operation: Liberate the inhumanely treated freethinking children who's parents signed them off to Taliban-style fundamentalist boarding schools in Rural Areas of the Bible Belt.
