Oh, I know, Raymond. The whole scheme goes a little farther back. Remember a big hole on the corner, an empty gravel pit? Remember whose father bought it for his loser son as a (ahem) construction company/real estate development opportunity?
The Guv knew all about Jim. They're buddies. The Guv ignored advice and stories.
Malfunction Junction is the work of lots of cronies.

mom - you may be on to something. Jim Lynch was a part owner/investor in the commercial development adjacent to "Lynch Street." Then he was at MDOT when the decision was made to build "Lynch Street." By all accounts, this access road is simply there to better serve the commercial development. It is not a very good road to move traffic from Reserve to Highway 93. The taxpayers have been duped. The whole state of Montana paid for "Lynch Street." Too bad Gov'ner Schweitzer didn't know about this sooner.

Reserve Drive South?? One of the dumbest names for a road. Why not convolute and confuse mapping systems even farther by naming all the roads in the are the same.
