Former Navy SEAL Team Six commander and Whitefish state Sen. Ryan Zinke has launched a national political action committee representing special forces and other military personnel dedicated to defeating President Barack Obama this November.

Zinke is chairman of the board of directors for Special Operations for America that includes former Army Brigadier General and Bigfork resident Paul Vallely and former Montana Sen. Conrad Burns.

No one has exploited Seal Team 6 more than Senator Zinke. He has claimed in more than one interview that he spent half of his career with Team 6. The truth is he was assigned to Team 6 on two different occasions for a total of 6 years. His accusation that our President took the credit for killing Bin Laden is his opinion and means nothing to me. His political career is over, might as well start a PAC but I suspect it will collect about as much money as his joke of a campaign.

moosedroppings, It is now quite difficult to even in the wildest of imagination to possibly for a brisk moment to believe you have had any education, let alone some homelschooling where the graduating party for reaching the age of 18 in the third grade was the ultimate objective, and you were the valdictorian! Even that chain of events would be questionable, when reading your comments! Thoise words pride and dignity, do they have any meaning to you at all?

The way our system works is, NOT a single man (representative) can control and/or do anything he wants as the President, yet the President has to (at times) make complex and critical decisions in a very short period of time. The Seals know that they may be called into action at any time, to do the job they have been trained (and paid) to do. They know their job is very dangerous, and by serving, have accepted this responsibility. Obama made the call, the Seals did the job (very well), and the Republicans (Ryan Zinke et al) are mad because it was a (BLACK) democratic president who "got the job done"!

I would never consider a man of this character capable of being a representative in any political position, as he has demonstrated unacceptable contempt for someone he swore an oath to protect, the Commander in Chief. I am not a proponent of violence, however, Osama

He is not a respectable person, and is certainly a disappointment to his fellow former Navy Seal brothers. HE should keep his touchy feelings to himself about the Commander in Chief. I am personally disgusted by his treasonous activities against the President of the United States of America, still the greatest country in the world.

Ryan Zinke needs to be ashamed of his treasonous behavior. If this administration were as bad as he wants everyone to believe it is, he wouldn't be able to speak out in this way, against this (or any) President of the U. S. like he is doing without being draw and quartered or at least arrested. A man with his experience should (must) respect the office of the president and defend him with his life. Zinke is a joke, hE IS

If Ryan Zinke thinks Special Ops soldiers need to be kept secret and incognito, why do we all know Ryan Zinke was a SEAL Team Six commander. Oh, wait...Mr Zinke has never told anyone.
How is being a SEALTeam Six squid any more honorable than being an 11 bravo GI.
This isn't Paraguay; the military, retired or not, needs to stay out of politics.

The new "Rules" you describe are quite necessary for a Military that is involved in Nation Building.....That is the insane politics that Bush 2 started, and we as a nation and our Military are now fully involved in. It must stop, IMHO. The Political Concept behind the Rules of Engagement needs to be addressed.

I would say Mr. Zinke has seen the evil side of the world, as have I, and he is very worried about having a pot-smoking crack-head communist community organizer as commander. Now as to the economy, my guess is that Comrade/King Obama's "bottom-up" approach fails to consider that poor people don't create any jobs. They just soak-up gov't money and vote for idiots like Obama. So - which do you want to lead the country? a pot-smoking crack head communist community organizer (and Mr. Teleprompter) or a successful intelligent business man.

I believe one of Ryan's primary concerns is the changes in the rules of engagement which requires the military forces (and the Seals) to act more like a domestic police force than a military force. One of which is that the Seals need to wait to be shot at before they can shot. That might be fine for a police force, but in a war setting it is insane to wait to see if the enemy kills your people before you pull the trigger.

I respect Mr. Zinke for his service but I do not understand how defeating President Obama is a matter of national security. Mr. Zinke was a member of the SEAL Team Six but prior to them killing Osam bin laden I'd say the majority of Americans did not know about SEAL Team Six. It seems he wants it both ways, recognition for being a former member of the team, which he should, but not give any credit to the President for his involvment with the team.

mooseyboy, what a surprise! The general concensus has been that you may have attended some homeschooling again and maybe discovered you really did not understand what you were always reading and commenting about , so there has been a joyful moment of time that we did not have to suffer or laugh at all the other times of your comments! But now again with your printed comments in full form on public display, you have exposed your dismal effort to accept and acknowledge facts, so welcome back to the comments, as laughter is always a welcomed deterent to minor levels of despair!

We need to do what we can to ensure the anti-Obama people make it to the poles. A 33% turnout of registered voters is pathetic.

I believe the election of 2012 will be totally overrun with fraud and accusations of fraud. For example - the fight over voter ID. Nearly everywhere in this country, a person needs valid ID to do anything. So just why is it the democrats scream and shout over voter ID? Fraud is why. A vaild form of ID cuts down on fraud. Aside from that, I believe the King Obama regime will do all possible to rig the election. Ya know like 20,000 votes for Obama from a town of 1500 etc. Sadly, the damage already done to America is significant. The obamacare law creates HHS as a dictorship with no authorative oversight. The HHS secretary has the power (literally) to decide who gets medical treatment and who does not. (seniors need not apply). Summary - someday maybe your grandchildren, or their children will say "Remember when America was free/"

The only voice active duty military personnel have lies in the vote. This seems like a great effort to get that vote out and helping in making it a vote for Romney.
