How wonderful! I wish Firefly was around when my kiddos were younger. Teaching children to think for themselves and problem solve in their own way (instead of telling them "how it's done") is one of the MOST important skills they can be taught. We need to remember we are raising young men and women here, not drones who just do what their told without thinking for themselves. Sounds to me like Firefly is doing just that - helping to instill the values of free thinking, problem solving, and creative learning, just to name a few. I wish their program well...

Is that what happened to you, Moose? As you reflect back on your long, long life you kind of wish you had been raised an Athenian, with equal time to learning and sports on your way to Plato's Academy......instead, you were raised a Spartan, with a life time of military drill and tactics allowing you to become a integral part of a military machine, rising to the rank of squad leader! Ooh-rah!
