Ok, I understand why many of you are so upset, child pornogrpahy is a serious thing and it is not a topic that should be handled loosely. However, the man in this is situation is one of the nicest, easy-going people you will ever meet. Unfortunately, there are certain cirsumstances that have made it look a lot worse than it really is. Child pornography is a serious offense, and is completely deplorable. I assure you though, he would NEVER physically abuse an underage girl, he downloaded encrypted files via Limewire, making it appear as though he was accessing these files everyday due to the fact that Limewire is a file sharing network. Its a difficult situation, but it is what it is, this man isnt your typical sex offender, i can assure you of that.

Oh, believe me, I know the kind of guys like this....I am not blindly judging. If you could stop them at this point, then we might prevent much heartache.

I cant believe some of you are defending this guy? If he moved up to sexually abusing your child would you be defending him then?

Bergsteigen- I have seen TO CATCH A PREDATOR and i have also seen those guys get 7 years 8 years I even saw one get 15 years. You can defend him all you want but what he did is ILLEGAL and i'm sure he'll get his in prison. Bubba and his friends don't like Pedophiles.

It's nice to see that all of you would gladly condemn and generalize opinions about someone before getting all the facts, or even talking to them in person. There is so much wrong with what you all have written here and it all drips with ignorance. There has been much written about morals and God here, yet where are yours when you wish harm upon another person, regardless of their situation? Ignorance is the most violent part of society. Another question for you all.... you've all watched Dateline's "To Catch a Predator" i presume.... If you watch what happens to each of these men you would realize it pails under what was appointed here. A 50 year old man arrives at a residence with alcohol and condoms attempting to solicit sex from a minor receives a month in jail. How does that make sense? I'm sure many will rebuttal by saying "He probably tried to solicit sex with a minor," but he would have been charged with that had anything of the sort been found. Every single man on that show receives no more than a couple months at most and you cry in outrage to the above? And if he's so "sick" and "dangerous" why did the government let him roam about free from the time of computer confiscation till now? You can't be so quick to judge. I guarantee if any of you sat down to talk with this man before any of this stuff hit the newspaper you would walk away thinking "He's just like everyone else." You can rebut how you will... I don't care... I am defending this man because he is worth it... I would rather see you in prison then him... and oh yeah, federal minimum security prisons are quite cozy thanks to the thousands of tax dollars you all contribute... No one there will attempt to hurt him because they are all in the same boat.... Think about that as you work to pay taxes and he gets to garden, continue his education and further himself at the Ritz-Carlton....

I am really glad they caught him now before he moved on and hurt children for real. I just wish that when he gets out in two years you could know he will not begin to. This type of "supervised release" does not do a whole lot of good, and they can still get away with alot before they are caught again.

It truly boggles the mind to read Boulder's response. Was is meant to simply generate response or to sincerely defend this pedophile? Boulder says, "this is a good kid from a good family who made a mistake." We are talking about a 22 yr. old MAN here, not a child! Even if he was 19 at the time, that is still a legal ADULT, not a "boy" as Boulder says. The only "kid" involved in this story are the numerous innocent & vulnerable children who were violated during their molestations and filmed, cementing their horror for posterity who were viewed repeatedly through the videos that this 22 yr. old MAN, among others, indulged in. And incidently, these youngsters may have been the ones from "good families" who are undoubtedly devastated now. Does Boulder bother to defend them? And 600 or more images remaining after and admitted 15 videos viewed daily just does not imply a simple "mistake" of a boy but a willfull decision on the part of a man. Repeatedly and purposely downloading more and more and then deleting them after indulging implies more than a bit of adult awareness that his actions were in fact wrong/illegal/criminal. Implying that he and others like him are somehow victims themselves of lack of education or awareness or even intentional plotting on the government's part to lock them away and spend millions incarcerating them is beyond absurd. What happened to "the good family" who would have raised him to know these things?" Where does the responsibility lie really? Is the government supposed to raise him? Billboards changing the world? Really? Quite franky, if a 19 or 22 year old man requires that much hand-holding in Boulder's recommended form of publicly funded billboards, tv and radio ads, teachers lectures, police visits, etc simply to teach him what the rest of decent society just inherently knows, specificaly to not participate in the sadistic-masochistic conduct forced on pre-pubescent children/child abuse/rape, then what does that say about the man and the person publicly defending his actions? How much does a mentality like that contribute to society compared to how much he degrades it by supporting such criminal acts through his passive viewing and supporting of a larger child abuse industry? No amount of feel-good 30 second sound bites or ugly billboards are gonna change that tune. Any child know it is wrong, much less a man. And questioning good people's feelings over FBI looking over their shoulder with search warrants is beyond presumptuous and says a lot about what must be on Boulder's computer. The FBI can search my computers all day long and I am not gonna lose any sleep over it. It may be a revelation to some like Boulder and Tanner Osweiler, but most in the community are not using their computers to view such crimes or in anyway contribute to them and we all sleep just fine with a clear conscience. It is possible to be left alone in this world without big brother watching and still do the right thing. Rare, but still possible. Some people just have self-control, morals, or whatever you want to call decency today and just don't participate in child abuse of any kind in the privacy of their own homes. Any decent person who accidentally stumbled on this material would have reported it immediately NOT downloaded it repeatedly. Defending this person is no less than aiding and abetting.

Really, Boulder? Our ignorant comments?? It doesn't take much research to realize that this wasn't just a mistake he made. Fifteen videos a day to total 600 videos? That isn't just an uh-oh, you don't stumble upon things like that unless you're looking for it. If you want to talk about ignorance, you might consider that you are sticking up for an admittedly guilty pedophile. Doesn't that make your stomach sour at all? You can tell me he has the most amazing, perfect family and that doesn't tell me anything. Obviously if their son is looking at child pornography, there is something mentally unstable about him. No, you can't guard your children from disgusting and vile things 24/7. However, you can educate them to be a good citizen and teach right from wrong. I've had things happen in my past that could have turned me into bad person, but I had parents that taught me that what other people do is their karma, how I react is my karma. Yes, at 19 I didn't always make the smartest choices, but I didn't end up in prison because of those choices. I have little compassion for someone who admits to getting joy, even pleasure, from little children's pain. Boulder, you must not be a parent, because if you were I would have a hard time with you sticking up for such a heinous thing (no matter how close to the family you are). To me that is as ignorant as it gets. What has our world come to if someone is sticking up for someone who watches child pornography?

to be politically correct and avoid persecution from the new age do-gooders we have to be tolerant of people's desires, compulsions and obsessions to do bad things. Or so they say.
Yup we vote for legalizing pot, and same sex marriage, and corruption. It's what the majority wants, obviously.
We also vote for such lame justice. I don't understand understand how stupid people here are. The majority just doesn't care, obviously.

I can't believe the ignorant comments here - you people need to research this proplem. This is a good kid from a good family who made a mistake. Oh I forgot 19 year old boys are the most rationaling thinking people on the planet. The internet has put all this stuff available in the privacy of your home at the push of a button. Can you monitor your kids 24 hours a day - No - some day the FBI might be knocking at your door with a search warrant . Our government is spending millions and millions of dollars putting young unsuspecting kids in prison and destroying lives - and the result - the problem of child pornography is exploding. Where is the education ? How difficult would it be to put up billboards like The Meth Project, a teacher lecturing their class, a simple flyer, law enforcement visiting schools, TV and Radio ads, making people aware of this danger lurking in the privacy of their own home.

Yes MfgMan, he is Brock Osweiler's older brother. I agree with all of you! And to make matters worse, he has a child on the way. He won't be present at the birth of his child or for the first 2 years of that kids life. What a worthless piece of scum. I guess he's trying to start the cycle all over again. That poor child, I wonder if CPS will step in and give that child a home where God and morals are present. I wonder what's wrong with his wife? She married him after she knew what he was, A MONSTER!! What happens when he is released and now he is given the opportunity to not only look, but touch?????? So we allow another child to be molested and then ask why our country is going to the crapper? Two years in prison is a joke. I hope the guards turn a blind eye when his prison mates give him what he deserves. Well for his best interest he should head somewhere else after he's released. I don't want my children anywhere near a monster like that. I just have to wonder what on Earth would drive this so-called man to think to look up little children being abused? I am just ashamed that Kalispell has turned into such a heck hole. Breaks my heart.

Well, this guy deserves a special place when he dies.

I'm thinking that we have the makings of a reality tv show here. If he's going to a federal facility, make it a special one. They aren't all country clubs. No special protection for being a pervert. Put him in general population and let him fend for himself. I'm pretty sure we would save millions of dollars over trying to execute him and the end result would be the same. Inmates have their own code of conduct, and interesting ways of inflicting punishment. Might give a whole new meaning to "Lockup, Raw".

Well said Partyer, I could not agree with you more. This has to stop and it starts at home with good moral direction from parents, parents who not only talk the talk but walk the walk as well. Parents your children are watching please be a good moral example for them.

            It's SIMPLE!!!
There is no such thing as morals anymore. At least none that one would want to push or expect others to live by. 'Cuz to do so makes you the enemy of all these "forward thinking" wackos.
For instance. "It's okay to be gay, and glamorize it everywhere possible including TV commercials"
And: "I need pot to ease the pain of being such a loser"
"Rules? We don't want rules. He's cheatin' , he's cheatin', he's cheatin' and I'm cheatin'""
Try this one. "I expect special treatment because I'm a drunk senator (representative, governor, mayor, movie star, etc).
Holy cow, why is this so hard to figure out? You people vote FOR it, and stand in line to PAY for it, and send your kids to learn MORE of it.
Whatever happened to ethics and family values.
Way to go, Sanity. You got me started.

What is happening to our society? Where is it going wrong that a 22 yr. old male would prefer to view children nude, sexualized, and degraded versus just good old fashioned attractions to adult females???? Is no one normal anymore???? Watch your children America and hold them close for they are being preyed upon by our own neighbors. Where are we going and why are we in this handbasket????
