- Volunteers Needed
Organizers are looking for nonprofit groups to staff concession stands at the Mountain Madness 2013 Air Show.
A master concessionaire provides all food, drink and novelties at the show and uses volunteer labor from local nonprofit groups to run the stands.
The air show receives a cut of the profits, which are distributed to nonprofit groups that worked the show. At the 2005 air show that money amounted to more than $50,000.
Any groups interested in working the upcoming air show should contact the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce.

It takes teamwork to host an air show in the Flathead Valley. With shows in 1999 and 2005 under his belt, volunteer air show director John Vander Laan knows all about that.
And he’s in the middle of that challenge yet again, leading the charge for a third time in 15 years as the Flathead Valley prepares to welcome the U.S. Air Force’s elite Thunderbirds demonstration squadron in July.
