Sen. Hillary Clinton will visit Pablo this afternoon as part of her campaign for the June 3 primary, her Montana office announced on Sunday night.
Clinton, from New York, is battling Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois for the Democratic nomination for president. A recent Lee poll shows her trailing Obama by 17 points in the state, which her husband former President Bill Clinton has said is crucial to her hopes.
Doors will open at 1:30 for the Pablo appearance, which will be held In front of Darcy McNickle Library, at the intersection of Division Street and U.S. 93, at Salish Kootenai College. The event is scheduled to begin at 3:30.
Clinton is scheduled to fly to Billings later that afternoon for an appearance in Billings at the Metra Park Fairgrounds at 8 p.m.

Montana would be smart to choose Hillary. She is ahead in states that have a majority of the Electoral College, and in the popular vote. She has come from behind, and is now in position to win the nomination with a real majority (2210) of the delegates once FL and MI are seated. Her opponent wants to be nominated with less than half of the party (2025 delegates) voting for him. Hillary is the true Democrat, and she can beat McCain soundly. Montanans can give her the win that will make that come true, or they can follow the media's hype and vote for an untested politician whose political prime is still years away.
