A registered sexual offender recently was caught viewing child pornography in his van in Kalispell.

According to Flathead County Sheriff Chuck Curry, Rodney Miller was sitting in his van — in which he lives — on Sept. 21 when a federal probation and parole officer walked up to check on Miller. When the officer approached, he saw what he believed to be pornographic images of children.

How did my ex religion miss there opportunity to make this guy a Priest . Hang them all and put it on public TV and Maybe if these creeps see that there is consequence for the actions they will stop. Kids should not be hurt in anyway.

I had my childhood interrupted by a sleaze like this. It's a shame I couldn't be protected. It's worse still when society knows there is a problem and they don't fix it. However, even if we could put this guy away, there would be another bad person to take his place. The best thing we can do is talk to our children and teach them to protect themselves. I taught my daughter its okay to say "NO" even to an adult if they are trying to do something wrong.

But he looks like such a nice guy!
Obviously he is just losing really badly. His life is miserable. Suicide is a perfectly logical, understandable option in some cases. He must not have any friends or family who cares. Now we get to support him. Nice.

The delay in arrest was actually not too bad! There have been much worse in the past! I am glad he is arrested now, please keep him in prison.

I hope I have the math wrong here but this registered sex offender was identified by police viewing child porn on 9/21 but not arrested until 9/25? So this desperate ("I would rather die in a gunfight than go to prison") pedophile was loose for 4 days after committing the crime? Seems pretty dangerous to me. This guy had nothing to lose. As the parent of 3, it makes me very uncomfortable that he was out there without anyone knowing about it...living next to a day care.

When will the "experts" finally admit that people like this guy cannot be cured. They've tried everything from counseling to chemical castration. Unless you can remove the brain and start over, they will always have those feelings. Forget about administrative segregation in prison. Put him in general population and the other inmates will take care of the problem. Even they have limits on acceptable behavior. Plus, they aren't constrained by his civil rights and due process.

Maybe Mr. Millers death in a gun fight is not such a bad idea.
