After Democratic Sen. Max Baucus’ hard-fought battle to include provisions for Libby asbestos victims in the federal health-reform law, many of those victims are worried a move by Montana’s congressman will pull the plug on their long-term care.

Rep. Denny Rehberg, R-Mont., who chairs the House budget subcommittee with jurisdiction over health-care spending, took the lead three weeks ago to defund federal health reform, introducing an amendment to a budget bill to block any spending this year on putting the new health-care law in place.

Thanks Max.. .Does anyone remember Robert M. Tarola, former Chief Financial Officer for WR Grace that was aquitted by Judge Malloy in Missoula of any criminal conspiracy in this Libby asbestos mess? Does anybody remember WR Grace's involvment with illegal organ harvesting in China and other parts of the world? Does anybody know that March is National Kidney Month, and Robert M Tarola is now both Director for Teletech LLC as well a member of the American Kidney Fund Board of Trustees and serves as Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee. Remember the last election, this is what Montana voters voted for. Don't be like the Wisconsin voters who turned out for the republican party and now say They did not know this is what they intended to do after getting into office. Read and educate yourself. What do you think Denny has done for the last 14- 18 years for Montana....... nothing. Wake up or accept this is what you want from the republicans and the tea party. Libby wake up you vote for the republican party all the time.

Mr . Rehberg and our current Montana Republican Party simply do not care what the voters concerns are that elected them into office . They seem to think they need to do just the opposite of our wishes . I think the current GOP party has gotten completely off track on what they were elected to do . .They have not created jobs, instead they have proposed micro managing our personnel business and lives .All I got from the health care reform bill was a 30% increase in my insurance premium with more co pays and a higher deductable. If Rehberg ,Tester ,or Baucus were to actually pass a bill that benefits health care reform that would help the average american, or simply put ,give us the great insurance we give you .Thats what I would like to see in a health care reform bill . I am not sure the tax payers should be footing this expense either . Why is'nt W R Grace or Workmens Comp .involved in paying these people a settlement ? Why should this be covered in a health care reform bill ? This is clearly a abuse of the system , Americans paying for big businesses responsibilities . I think the people in Libby need to be taken care ,but do not think this is the right solution to what is clearly W R Graces or Workmans Comps problem. Hold them responsible ,not me the tax payer . And remember these politcians [GOP AND Democrats] when the next election rolls around . Notice any big change in the last two years ? Making more money , feeling more secure and safe in your current job ,paying less for gas , got great low cost health care , see your soc security dollars misspent until there will be nothing left for us when its our turn to collect. Not sure what the answer is but these jokers are 'nt the solution . None of these are politicans care about the people of Montana until election year .

isn't it that if you run for another office you are to resign from the one you have been elected to avoid confict of interest and you are not doing the job you were elected to to campaign for the new one? this is as far as i'm concerned is an ethics issue. Rehberg is for Rehberg, not montana people

"In a statement issued Friday, Rehberg said he will continue working on “reliable, stable solutions that Libby residents can count on once and for all".

Could Rehberg please tell all of us what exactly he has done to help the people in Libby in the ten years he has been our representative? He could care less about the people in Libby, because they aren't rich enough to warrant his attention, and because the Republican party leadership tells him how to vote, and he follows it faithfully. And he wants to be your next Senator.
