Flathead County Interim Commissioner Cal Scott acknowledged this week he does not have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Nevada-Reno, as was stated in primary election stories in the Daily Inter Lake and Hungry Horse News.

Scott, who is running as a Republican for the remaining two years of Commissioner Jim Dupont’s term in District 1, said he took civil engineering courses for three months in 1963 at the University of Nevada, then dropped out.

Sorry, Bonnie. If your post is attempting to respond to mine, it's a non sequitur. Are you saying honesty is not important? While I would not waste my time having a substantive, in-depth discussion on a DI forum, I will say this: My post has nothing to do with partisan politics and everything to do with core values. What is it about that concept that you find so offensive?

DeputyDawg, shouldn't you be concerning yourself with the monkey business that's going on in your workplace?

            luckygirl-

Shouldn't you and Libra41 be out peddling copy machines together?

You are exactly the type of individual I like to see working for the other side, because I certainly don't want you on mine. You're quite good at accusing others of the very things you are most guilty of (typical lefty tactics). You have no argument, you have no substance, you offer no solutions of any kind that I have ever seen.

The fact of the matter is...if Ponytail Old Hippie Gil Jordan ever serves one single day as a County Commissioner, we're all doomed. This left wing lunatic wants nothing more than to slam the door at the county line and put an end to property rights, business growth, or commerce of any kind. Socialist Gil Jordan must be rejected at all costs for the good of Flathead County.

You DI forum freaks (looking at you, RightofCenter) are hysterical!! Loving it, no matter how the election turns out. I am so grateful to not live my life as a crazed, paranoid, delusional, angry mess. It must suck to live in your skin.

And btw, honesty matters. No matter what side of the political fence you're on. It is central to the character of every human being. Keep telling yourself it doesn't, but if you think someone who lies about one thing won't lie about another, or lie to you, you're flat wrong.

            Flyfish:

It wouldn't matter if Cal Scott flunked his Kindergarten class - the reality is if Gil Jordan gets in that chair, we are all going to need a lot more than 22 credit cards once Mr. Ponytail gets through with us.

Gil Jordan's extreme anti-business, anti-property rights, anti-growth, anti-everything agenda is a THREAT to the citizens of Flathead County.

Mr. Ponytail is a disciple of redistribution. He stands on the sidewalk at Depot Park and rallies for it. If this was all I knew about Gil Jordan, it would be more than enough.

RofC, This article has nothing to do with Gil Jordan. It is about character, something that is more and more looking like Cal Scott has very little of.
