Allan Dimond , 77

| May 1, 2024 12:00 AM

Allan Russel Dimond, 77, was an Army Infantry Soldier in Vietnam who fought proudly for his country as a Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol. He was so strong, determined, and didn’t let anything stand in his way. After being discharged from the service, he continued to give back to his community and other local veterans. He did this through attending and coordinating multiple veteran’s outreach programs to assist veterans with their war time experiences through outdoor excursions and prayer, served as an assistant chaplain at the Brockton, Massachusetts Veterans Hospital, stood before Congress after Vietnam to fight for Veterans Rights, has been a lifetime member of American Legion, assisted in planning and early processes of setting up the Veterans Retreat, donating to the Veterans Pantry, and so much more. He is a true hero of our country.

Mr. Dimond has been a father to and assisted in raising his daughter Adrianne Nicole Mack; married to Shane Mack, his son John Clifford Dimond; married to Nancy Dimond; his son Nathaniel Allan Dimond; spouse of Kyla Huston; his son Joshua Austin Dimond; spouse of Seonna Clark; and his two step daughters Amanda Marie Doyle and Samantha Anne Doyle. Allan has also been blessed with 11 grandchildren; Kellen, John, Robbie, Devin, Paiten, Jasiah, Gabriella, Joseph, Elizabeth, Landyn, and Wyatt. He was married to Angela Marie Dimond for 31 years.

Unfortunately Mr. Dimond was in a major car accident on his way to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in August 2023. He had battled and overcame a lot medically but due to his weakened state from the crash and having many underlying conditions, his body was unable to fight and recover. He was born on April 27, 1947 and passed on the morning of his birthday in 2024. Per Allan Dimond’s request, his remains will be sent back to his home state of Massachusetts to be buried at the Bourne National Cemetery alongside his parents, Frederick and Priscilla Dimond.

We will be holding a memorial service on Wednesday, May 1, at noon at Johnsons-Gloschat Funeral Home in Kalispell. We would like anyone in the community who would like to come honor Allan Russel Dimond to be welcome. Military Funeral Honors will be rendered at the service.
