Law roundup: Woman loses sleep counting teens instead of sheep

A group of 50 teens allegedly jumped a resident’s fence to get into the football game and she asked the Kalispell Police Department to keep an eye out on her property because of the destruction they wrought.

A later call came in from someone who could hear a group of teens reportedly getting into a fight at Legends Stadium where they heard people chanting, “fight,” and someone saying, “Grab her by the hair.”

Four to five strange males were allegedly seen getting out of an older red truck, breaking into someone’s house and camping out on the couch. The witness told officers they had a family member go over and kick everyone out, but they wanted police to do extra patrol because of the strange activity.

Someone reviewing security camera footage allegedly saw a person walking up their driveway, spotting the camera and then staring at it for a while before walking out of the camera’s view for a couple of minutes. The person returned and looked at the camera again, appearing to be holding a knife. Nothing appeared to be missing from the property at the time. An extra patrol was requested.

Two men appeared to be chasing another man who flagged down officers. The incident was related to a verbal disagreement over property and the parties were separated.

A woman was suspicious that someone was using a cellphone to record her and her friends through a window, but when she went to the window to check the cellphone had “disappeared.”

A catalytic converter was reportedly cut off a vehicle and someone needed a police report for insurance purposes.

A woman reportedly got a letter from a towing company that her vehicle was impounded and she had no clue as to why because she wasn’t aware it was in drivable condition. She later learned that after she had a friend of her roommate fix her vehicle at his shop, he allegedly gave it to people to use without her authorization. They were pulled over, which ultimately resulted in her vehicle being towed. She told officers she could not afford to get the vehicle out of impound.
