Prep roundup: Bigfork cruises past Rams; Eureka, C-Falls win big

BIGFORK — Joseph Farrier ran for 134 yards and two touchdowns, and Bigfork got two pick-6 interception returns in another lopsided 47-14 Western B football win, this one over Missoula Loyola on Friday.

Isak Epperly and Bryce Gilliard scored off interceptions in the first half for the Vikings (6-0 overall, 3-0 in the Western B).

Farrier’s 15 carries included touchdown runs of 5 and 14 yards. Tristan Herd was 6-for-11 passing for 149 yards and two scores for the Vikings (6-0). He found Cole Knopik with a 33-yard score and Nick Walker for 87 yards and a TD.

For Loyola (3-4, 1-2), Aiden Round and Jack Clevenger each threw scoring passes, while Talen Reynolds ran 22 times for 105 yards.

Wyatt Johnson ran for 57 yards and a score for Bigfork.

Columbia Falls 69, Browning 12

BROWNING — Reggie Sapa ran for two touchdowns and hauled in a scoring pass, and Columbia Falls ran away from Browning in Western A action Friday.

Cody Schweikert had a 5-yard run to start the scoring for the Wildcats (5-1 overall and in the Western A), and he added two touchdown passes as part of a 28-point first quarter.

Columbia Falls stayed on the ground from there — Schweikert threw just nine passes, completing five for 78 yards — and finished with 228 yards on 27 carries. Blaise Wunderlich, Brandon Role, Branden Torpen added rushing touchdowns; Sapa had matching 6-yard TD runs and Role had a team-high 44 yards on six carries.

The Wildcats also blocked a punt that Aydan McFadden recovered for a touchdown. In the second half, played under a running clock, Jace Duval returned a kickoff 81 yards for another score.

Browning (0-7) got two long touchdown runs from Tahj Wells in the second half, covering 74 and 80 yards. Wells ended up with 213 yards on 17 carries. The hosts ran 40 plays to Columbia Falls’ 36, but the Wildcats outgained the Indians 306-195.

Eureka 59, Thompson Falls 13

EUREKA — All three of Eureka quarterback AJ Truman’s completions went for touchdowns to Tristan Butts Friday, and the Lions downed Thompson Falls in a Western B tilt.

Truman was 3 for 4 passing for 79 yards, with scoring strikes to Butts covering 10, 27 and 42 yards. Butts then took over at QB and went 3 of 7 for 37 yards, including a 29-yard TD pass to Caden Pecore.

Remington Little added two rushing touchdowns for the Lions (4-3 overall, 2-1 in league), and picked up 113 yards on 11 carries. Butts ran 13 times for 108 yards with one TD. Pecore added a scoring run as well.

Thompson Falls quarterback Bryson Lecoure was 27 of 44 passing for 290 yards, with two touchdowns thrown to Breck Ferris. Elijah Ratliff had 10 catches for 129 yards for the Bluehawks (0-7, 0-3 in league). Kaiden Robins had two catches for 61, and Max Hannum and Ferris had six catches each.
