Whitefish Christian Academy earns international accreditation

Whitefish Christian Academy recently received accreditation from the Association of Christian Schools International.

Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) accreditation is an internationally recognized scholastic certification that ensures rigorous standards are met in a private Christian school’s academic programs, according to a press release.

“Earning ASCI accreditation is an exciting milestone for our school,” WCA board chairman Joe Krezowski said. “It reflects our ongoing commitment to excellence in our administrative and operational processes. Most importantly, it reflects our commitment to our chief calling, the formation of wise and virtuous young men and women.”

According to www.acsi.org, the accreditation process involved intensive internal analysis, improvement planning, an external consultation and review, a visit from a peer group and ongoing accountability/improvement through annual reporting.

“With ACSI accreditation our Academy affirms its vision to train the whole child in mind, body and soul. To get here, though, took significant time and hard work. Our faculty, staff and administration made this accreditation happen, and for them I’m so thankful,” said WCA Head of School Rachel Erickson.

WCA teaches a classical Christian curriculum to preschool through eighth grade. This includes core subjects such as literature, history, math, science and Latin.
