Bigfork Vikings hold off Lions, 55-54

EUREKA — Isak Epperly led a balanced Bigfork attack with 14 points, and the Vikings made just enough free throws late to hold off Eureka 55-54 in a District 7-B boys basketball game Thursday.

Nick Walker added nine points for Bigfork (6-4 overall, 5-1 in the 7-B), who made 22 free throws but also missed 16. Walker and Epperly each snared eight rebounds.

Gavin Bates hit three 3-pointers and scored a game-high 22 for Eureka. Tristan Butts added 10 points for the Lions (4-6 overall, 3-3 in league), who were 10 of 16 at the line.

TROY — Trevor Grant scored 22 points and Troy picked up a nonconference boys basketball win over Mullan, Idaho on Thursday.

Grant scored 12 points in the first half as the Trojans (2-4) built a 36-11 lead. Paxton Fisher added 13 points for Troy, 10 coming before intermission.
